Seems weird for NVIDIA To attempt to buy its way into the dna healthcare biosciences stack. Would they not give GPUs to a vendor to develop an end to end solution. Like Google healthcare, Microsoft, a large drug developer, etc. it’s not just data but the DNA information needs to be curated, monitored, HIPPA/privacy compliant.
It does seem the need for a vendor(s) buying up DNA sequencing (like pacific biosciences or other cheaper company) and all the way up the bio sciences stack to collect and analyze data.
Some of the non diverse countries seem ripe for doing this analysis on their population. It seems it sounds like good political low handing fruit for certain diseases local to their populations.
The soon to be excess data centers seem ripe for this analysis.
