I am always amazed how old Zones, ZFS and Jails are.

The article is right in the sense that at the time I knew about Joyent but never created an account on it and I ended up trying AWS. And the main reason was that it could run Linux.

As of today you can find a few companies providing hosting based on Jail [0] but it is very niche
