The color (at least to me) doesn't actually look blue-green, but rather cyan-green. This "tertiary" color halfway between cyan and blue (#00FF80) is apparently called "spring green":

I wonder whether there is a physiological explanation for this.




I'm talking about the newly induced color, not the one of the background.


The description of the induced colour is subjective, of course. And cyan is in the blue direction from green.


But equally, yellow is in the red direction from green, and surely yellow-green is different from red-green. Although... Perhaps "red-green" is just another name for yellow, and "blue-green" just another name for cyan.
