I've moved the comments to https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39207570, since that was a Show HN by the project creator, and re-upped that thread. We do that when there is a Show HN because it's in everyone's interest to have the project creator commenting in the thread.

Sorry polyrand! I know it can suck when your submission gets swapped out like that. In the future we're going to have some form of karma sharing between multiple submitters of the same thing.

Won’t it just encourage folks to repost popular content?

I think the idea is to share karma with users who submit an article before it becomes popular, but I'm not sure because we haven't started to work on it yet.
