Please god no. I cant imagine how bad carrier routing will get if the options are HP and Cisco.

Theres already too much Cisco and way too much Mikrotik out in the wild. Juniper was doing magical things in replacing them.

There's always Arista.

Don't forget Huawei for those who're not in US

Or the UK, or Australia or India...

Not India.

Huawei is barred from expansions in India after the border flare up/near-war in 2020, and is being pressured to exit the India market because of Tax Enforcement [0]

I think you misunderstood me. I meant Huawei is not an option for operators in the countries I listed.

Interesting that HPE acquired Aruba networks almost a decade ago: https://www.hpe.com/us/en/newsroom/press-release/2017/03/hp-...

At this pace they will buy everyone up except for Cisco, sometime in the 2040s :D

They acquired 3com before that and integrates those switches into their Procurve line at the time. I think that was 2005 or so?

Oh yeah totally forgot about that.

Let's hope for the best for the future of Juniper. Juniper products are the best of the breed in the routing. Another level compared to Cisco.

They bought Poly/Polycom and completely screwed up the knowledgebase and support information by replacing any unrecognized URLs with low-content marketing web pages. Does HPE truly not know how to put in place web redirects?

Are you sure about this? Polycom is part of HP Inc. This article is about HPE - the other part of the split.

Feature, not a bug. "Want support? Pay us."

HPE did not buy Polycom.

Not good. Not good at all.
