I changed my Ergodox’s switches to some nice silents and put it on a desk pad and it was a lot better.


I might do that. I have Cherry MX Browns. I bought case foam and pcb foam for dampening. Could only install the pcb foam since it wouldn’t close with both. It didn’t make much of a difference. I do have a desk pad but I tent the keeb


Browns (and Clears, my preference) are pretty darn loud in my experience despite being only tactile and not also clicky. You can help with O-rings, but I agree with the above commenter that silent switches are probably an ideal solution. Well, assuming they meant to imply that.
