As I wrote a little fictional story about the demise of software
engineering myself, I'd love to read your story Charlie, but
unfortunately charlieharrington.com needs to review the security of my
connection before proceeding. Perhaps if we could fix this one little
bit of software engineering broken by CLoudflare it would open the
gates to us fixing many more.
Ah, I'm sorry to hear about this issue. I have not encountered it myself nor have I heard about others facing it before. Do you have any suggestions on what I might need to adjust in Cloudflare settings? My SSL/TLS settings have not changed in a very long time. Thanks!
I honestly wish I knew how fix the problem of Cloudflare blocking Tor.
In the past, voices for Cloudflare have disowned responsibility (for
presumably default settings) and claimed it is down to the settings of
individual site owners. So, there may be something you can tweak. Not
a being a user of their products I have no knowledge, though I wish I
could help and would gladly give more constructive suggestions to
other's whose sites I find are blocked.
Unfortunately, here on HN there is some resistance to even discussing
this problem, so very little intelligent discussion is permitted
before it's shut down. As an example, this recent comment today was
down-voted without without any reflective or considered response
[1]. Threads are often dominated by pro-Cloudflare comments that tend
to "victim blaming" or mocking of those who value privacy but are
obstructed by Cloudflare.
Feel free to PM me via (see Digital Vagen website), as I'd honestly
like to read your article.
