This looks an awful like an embarrassing claim to the discovery of Libet's Delay, which the researchers should have learned about as undergrads.

In case anyone wasn’t aware. Libet’s delay has been found to be quite flawed, and the ‘not reproducible’ idea entered popular consciousness:
