Africa has been dealing with this bullshit since the invention of consumer tech. Zimbabwe's crippling sanctions to get cheap gold, Zambia's copper fields, and the lithium, Coltan and cobalt up Eastern Congo. Should be Wakanda but Americans won't pay a fair market price for the metals and minerals their tech utopia demands.


Hush, fair market price would mean that our wonderful brave green world would not be affordable even for richest of us.


There’s so much FUD in this article it’s hard to know where to start. I wonder if the author has ever seen what coal mining does to a region.


As wonderful of an argument as just stating a 3 letter acronym is, which part of this article is FUD? And targeting what?
