From someone who's never had it, I imagine the taste is similar to some heavy stout beers, with more salt. Would that be accurate?


It only has a hint of beer taste to it. I would say it's more like a thicker soy sauce with hints of natto (fermented soybeans).


I once described it as "like blue cheese, minus the cheese."
