Please prove you are human. Not what we really want from the internet, but thanks to these companies it's what we have to endure. As a consequence nothing is automation friendly, stupid netblocks are in place on many sites and an array of VPNs are an almost a requirement now just to obtain information.
That blog post was released on April 1, but it isn't a joke (Cloudflare announces things that seem crazy but are real on April 1 instead of doing a joke)

The captchas are annoying, but its not the only thing cloudflare does. Cloudflare also has anti-ddos products that dont involve captchas. For example their Layer 3 magic transport
