Is there a discipline populated by people who are socially mature enough to not act religiously about their tools and widgets? Or is this just a universal flaw of humanity?
Tools are an extension of yourself so criticism of your tools is very easy to take as a personal attack. It takes conscious effort to not do so if it's a tool you use very regularly.
