When looking for answers to why so many in the development community claim "estimates don't work" - I came across the author of the #NoEstimates book. When I saw one tweet describing a worst-case scenario of how to use estimates and claiming estimates don't work based on this example, I decided to step in.
Thirteen tweets later, I had been blocked, called a liar, a troll, evil, “..if this gentleman knew anything” and had been told to “F-OFF”.
I guess what I said touched a weak spot. Here is what I pointed out to the #NoEstimates book author, read my post, this is the reason why we are seeing polarization and division in our community on the topic of #NoEstimates.
Note: I love the #NoEstimates idea. I also find Estimates useful. I deny being put in a box either you are with us or against us.
