I may or may not have (ab)used mine as an emoji keyboard after realizing Github Enterprise could deal with emojis just fine.


Cmd+ctrl+space

You can then search for whatever emoji you want and hit enter without taking your eyes off the screen or your fingers off the keyboard. Typing emojis was never a problem in macOS that the touchbar needed to solve


The default fn key with globe icon by itself keystroke works as well on the newer MacBooks.
