Somehow having it all laid out on 3 physical screens significantly reduces the mental overhead. Maybe it's some silly psychological thing, knowing that they're there in my peripheral vision.

At which point a simple KVM switch is perfect fit.

I'm on a 34" ultra wide IPS and I'm probably getting something a few inches bigger next time with an even more extreme R-value and I think I'm set.
