Whilst Google is trying to make things work, Facebook has removed all news - interesting that both parties have taken different courses. Could this open up the opportunity for an alternative to Facebook in Australia?

The alternative still has to deal with the problem of paying for news share. News are shared all the time on Hacker News, Reddit, will these sites have to pay too?

Will people eventually have to pay, or give something else up, to share news links in email and text? Blog posts?
