I love that I don't have to reach to Java anymore to go cross platform, or wonder if Mono will support my .NET project or not. In fact, thanks to .NET Core they made .NET Standard so I know if and how my project will run on a modern version of Mono. I also love that people are doing write ups about the source of .NET Core and it's internals.
