i understand the appeal of "mastodon server" but isn't pleroma/akkoma/rebased more lean alternatives that are a less headache to manage in terms of the infra and less moving parts and low on resources and almost full compatibility with mastodon api?
That's the problem though - there's a whole raft of stuff that just plain doesn't work with the Oma family, either because people can't read specs (looking at you, Ivory) or the specs are woefully vague or the Omas have just done something different and aren't really receptive to "make stuff work proper" requests.
If you're putting something up as an experiment, you don't want to hamstring it from the start with these kinds of problems on top of everything else.
It looks like the paper and code for both the original NeRF and this new Localrf method are free and open source, so that bodes well for integration into Kdenlive. In any case, I'm available for contracts ;)
Interesting, I don’t keep up with this space but maybe such hosting has got so cheap that it becomes a rounding error in their overall infrastructure.
Just opened an account to try it out and everything went smoothly, very clear instructions.
Their ToS seem reasonable for a free service.
It seems that there are other similar free hosting services, someone else mentioned render.com that I also didn’t know about. This one might be better for those in the EU since it is hosted in Poland.
I am still studying because "no one will marry their daughter off to me unless i have either a family business or a good degree" so i am "waiting" for one.
It is normal for 35-40 year olds to 'start' looking for a match because they've had to spend these years either earning their ass off to build some sort of "fund" or to keep their family from poverty.
physical contact is seen as "child making recipe", why would you need anything else? devil perhaps?
The society is also a problem. Dare to have a relationship unless you are married. You will be shunned from the society the same as criminals. Forget if you had sex. Then all bets are off. This one time a kid ran away with a girl, he was returned a week later but everyone knew "he is done. No good family will marry their daughter to him".
The guys are expected to care for their parents meaning not all the children get to move. If there are two or more sons, well someone has to stay behind. if you are just one, Well tough luck. Your wife is supposed to care for her "inlaws" so unless the couple cuts off their relationship with the parents, you HAVE to stay and care for them. This means for the most part, careers take a hit.
