There's a bunch of hidden social rules around commenting on immunity because the last big pandemic was HIV.

Uncle Ben's subreddit is the best place for info

I "burned out" while working at a FAANG and it just turned out to be a health problem, accelerated by the food there.

All of my side projects from the time are extremely uninspired.

Can you share some general information about the health problem, in case the rest of us should be watching out for it?

I would like to know too. But I can tell you about my experience.

I experienced something similar after moving to college from my hometown. Obviously the food was much different to what I had at my home. This led to me having cognitive and physical issues for 5 years that I stayed in the dorms. I used to feel like a zombie, no motivation or enthusiasm and a host of other symptoms. During my internship in my final year, I was diagnosed with something similar to IBS.

The solution was just to be conscious about what you eat and how it makes you feel.

The food at my internship was of such poor quality that it made me feel drained for many hours after eating. This was what prompted me to get checked seriously.

Am I better now? On average yes, but never like I was before moving to college. I eat a very restrictive diet. Semi permanent damages to one's system is not uncommon for people diagnosed with IBS.

Sure, it was iron overload [1]. I thought I could "eat like an adult" there and catch up on leafy greens which I always hated. But it turns out I hated them because my body can't process out iron. It kinda turned on its head my idea of "trying to be healthy" which is why I didn't mention the specific thing.

This is too specific. Look for the Trinity and you'll see it plainly. What lives in everyone's heart, created the world we live in and gives society its structure, according to them? That's what they worship.

I like the phrase "life stance" for this idea: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_stance

I used to be like this. I regret it. I made a distinction that didn't exist-- that there were non-religious people and religious people.

Naturally, I was one of the non-religious people and therefore better. Instead of defining what I believed in, I could just attack the things I didn't believe in. It was easy. I never had to play defense. I might not win every time but I could never lose. I could rattle cages but had no cage of my own.

The way you're describing yourself is how everyone thinks. Faith and doubt are two sides of the same coin. I consider faith worthless without doubt.

You can hear a European perspective on it in the song Prisencolinensinainciusol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VsmF9m_Nt8

News died. There's no ad-supported news anymore. Anything taking that format is no longer selling ad space to survive. They're selling your opinion.

The modern media that takes the form of news isn't news. It's public relations for corporate and government interests. Whenever a story like this "suddenly feels" anything it's being manipulated by those interests.

You'll have more fun with SpaceX if you think of it as a PR company whose only product is getting people excited about space again.

Isn't it inevitable for any company which is successful and innovative in its field (especially if the field is space flight related)? SpaceX really achieved a lot with Falcon 9, Dragon, Crew Dragon, pushing Starship even higher [1]. If you want some context, and a comparison of already 12 years ago decommissioned SpaceX Falcon 1 with current state of the art small-lift launch rockets of other companies, check out this excellent video [2].

I think their success and innovation is in getting people excited about space again. People not caring was space exploration's problem for like thirty years.

Space explorations problem was that it had little to be exited about, not the other way around.

Hey, it’s actually one of Elon’s goals and it looks like it’s working.

yikes
