I'm a Slovene with fond memories going to FKK camps in Croatia. Koversada is like a small city where everyone is naked all the time except visiting the shop or restaurant. I feel that FKK culture has a lot to offer to children especially as they see all the varieties of naked bodies which probably helps with self-image in later years.
While I don't go to FKKs anymore due to my wife, we still hunt beaches where we can be naked all day.
That's also my view, although I never had an opportunity to use such a beach. When my outlook on nudity changed I was already married. My wife wouldn't go to a beach like that for example. However I did enjoy far simpler and less fussy changing on Berlin beaches.
Do you mean that you are not going to FKK beaches because your wife doesn't want to? At the same time do you mean you go to baches where you can be naked privately?
Biochemist with a PhD, leading a group for bioprocess development and scale up. Been following hackernews for a few years now. Probably found it via digg or reddit, don't remember really. The things I like about NH is the minimalist UI and very high signal/noise ratio in the comments.
I have also played with the idea to switch professions for quite some time, but my programming skills include only basic python and microcontrollers. But in the end I always realise I'm very good at what I do and have a PhD in the field so it would not really make sense to switch and start over.
I'm not a petrochemist, but I think reforming/cracking is an old technology which allows you to produce syngas and smaller alkanes (methane, propane etc).
IIRC smokers change their inhaling patterns with 'light' cigarettes - they inhale more deeply and prolong the nictoine absorbtion time. In the EU its illegal to brand cigarettes as light.
I’m sure that is caveated on some people and for some conditions. I’d expect a better standard and more research to be defined here or we’ll end up with another paroxetine mess on our hands.
I lost a decade of my life to cleaning up after that mess and that was just a family member’s encounter with it.
What is factual is that things are invariably more complicated than they look when it comes to human minds.
