launching Not Hacker News as a way to digest the wealth of knowledge available on HN, looking for feedback to iterate and make it better.

I developed an open source python app as an skeleton for indie hackers to monetize ChatGPT plugin.

However, OpenAI is stating that this is not permitted.

Why on earth would they take such a stance?

What exactly did they say in what forum?

Did they reject your plugin?

I am assuming that they can't prevent people from charging for a service that happens to have a ChatGPT plugin.

They are probably worried about profitability and growing the business.

Hey HN community,

I'm in the midst of developing a plugin that leverages ChatGPT to generate ad copies. The unique feature? All you need to provide is the URL of your landing page, and it'll craft the copy for you.

I'm genuinely curious about your experiences:

Your Ad Copy Journey: What's your story with ad copywriting? Any memorable challenges or successes? Pain Points: What hurdles do you often face when crafting the perfect ad copy? Wishlist: If you could have any feature in an ad copy generation tool, what would it be? Your insights will be invaluable in shaping this tool to be as useful as possible for the community. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hey, I developed an experimental plugin for ChatGPT that helps with creating ad. You just need to enter the url you want and it do the rest for you. Appreciate your feedbacks! Just so you know, you need Dev access to Plugin to install it.

On Github, they only posted LICENSE, https://github.com/gg4real/gs-quant
