You'd have to not understand anything, to understand it. "Qualified" people are the most unqualified, and "unqualified" people are geniuses. Just believe what the "unqualified" people say, and you can be a genius too.
The importers are the beneficiaries of any refunds. Those of us that paid the higher prices because of tariffs will just enjoy the camaraderie of being screwed over as a collective group, twice.
The importers definitely voted for this, and funded campaigns to get other people to vote for it. Jacking up prices won't work this time, everyone is already broke af.
Get obsessed over the perfect tuning. Blame the imperfections on the quality of the guitar. Don't play until you get a better guitar. Repeat until you give up. Then actually start playing the damn thing.
Yes exactly. Although I didn't buy a new guitar, but a dozen tuners. It finally clicked when I got one that was "real time" enough to see how the tuning shifts from high to low. This was before smartphones could do it.
Doesn't help that most tuners are still dog slow, none of the beginners courses properly tell you how the guitar actually works, or what a "chord" really is. They're all just "play this and don't worry about it". To be fair it does get you going.
The win for mastodon is that it's a choice to view those feeds at all. Some have none by default (e.g. librem.one), you only see who you follow. Same with bluesky. "Discover" is there by default, but can be removed. It's a tad annoying in some places, like when your feed is "empty", they still show it at the bottom, but it's a big banner which, for me, is a perfect indicator to stop scrolling. You can also hide "Trending Tooics".
Seems like a typical blog post. Doesn't hurt to start with something like that, but they explicitly refuse to link to "official" site, stating it's garbage. Trash it all you want, but at least link to the trash so readers can judge for themselves, since the author is a self-proclaimed noob.
I've been on it, never once felt a lack of empathy, or forwent my principles. If that's happening to a person, it's likely a mask is just being lifted.
It's absolutely a continuum, which implies to me there will be people with your experience. Of course, you may not have encountered a scenario where your principles were on the line!
But then, I'd also agree there would be loads of cases where it is a mask being lifted, but isn't that the point? Is there a meaningful difference between "revealing one's true self" and "being robbed of an essential part of humanity" when the outcome results in the same antisocial behavior?
When i browse sites based in other countries, i don't complain when there's a lot of talk specific to that country. I didn't know what Eurovision was until last week, but now LMNC is representing the UK. A lot of talk about how it should be boycotted because of Israel. How a bunch of people i never heard of are corrupt. i'm just there to cheer on LMNC, but i get why it's being overshadowed by the current politics.
