Google Meet fails at about 15 users. Zoom can handle hundreds.

That is not true in my experience.. we regularly use meet with around 50 participants at work.

I'm curious, what are you doing that requires supporting hundreds of active participants (as opposed to a few active participants, plus a hundreds of spectators)?

I run a free virtual coworking community. Going over 15 users isn’t uncommon. Though since it is based around coworking and accountability, most users are closer to spectators than active participants.

I’m not putting shade on Meet. Haven’t used it in over a year.

the only time i had paying users was from me getting in early on iptv and posting on iptv subreddits.

i read a lot of books in two weeks. i read a lot of open source code libraries.

then i do side projects constantly.

i still feel like an imposter.

I should have started the IBMtoo movement. That place was rancid with harassment. My boss told my director not to come to work with a cane and to stay home until her (degenerative) illness was healed.

If that meant she'd still get paid, it sounds like a kindness.

And here was I thinking my boss was being kind and caring to me when he told me to go and spend time with my wife in hospital. He even phoned me later in the day to see how we were doing.

Turns out he was being a piece of shit and if this guy was on the jury I could have cleaned him and the company out.

i hate google

Similarly, I simply do not trust them to not do the absolute most malicious and evil things possible. If they one day start secretly keylogging people and then get hacked revealing keylogs for millions of people, I frankly wouldn't be surprised at this point.

You're unemployable at 40 in this field, had I known that I would have studied finance instead. Besides that tech changes so quickly every year or two you basically start over learning a whole new set of skills...and your experience means nothing to hiring companies you still have to answer ridiculous algorithm questions even if you're a frontend programmer.

Can I use this on my routers?

I just got put on a pip this week. One thing if you're over 40 and in the USA you have 21 days to review any sort of severance package. Take it to a lawyer, he can probably get your more.

Sorry to hear about the pip. Wish you the best. Thanks for the tip.

i don't know man, sounds like they are just getting a custom product with a developer on the cheap. I would say at least $20k/mo to work fulltime on their feature requests.

ceramic travel mug. works great for warming up coffee and keeps it warm for awhile.

I use this property in my full immersion process to keep the coffee hot longer.
