Enterprise software for SAP migrations. Thousands of companies need to move from ECC to S/4HANA before 2027, and master data quality is the #1 blocker. Built a Windows extraction tool + web app that cleans and transforms data automatically. What used to take consultants months of manual Excel work now happens in days.

from the paper: "This work aims to compare the results of Python and Elixir on training convolutional neural networks (CNN) using MNIST and CIFAR10 datasets, concluding that Python achieved overall better results, and that Elixir is already a viable alternative."

It seems that Amazon do not like a site which provide better search experience.

There's a site that does video game pricing charts for physical cds and cartridges. I think Amazon blocks their integration too, I can't remember. But Ebay doesn't.

Try to get in touch with the site owner and talk strategy?

Thank you for the feedback!

One way to overcome this sort by "Most reviews" which normally Amazon hides (I think they do it to give chance to sell new brands/products more). You have more chance to find the product you want and more trustful if it had 10K reviews instead of 10 reviews. I wrote about how to do it. Full disclosure, I am the author of free web app tool on the article. https://medium.com/@ceyhunkazel/amazon-search-hack-eliminate...

I've noticed that sellers have been gaming this metric as well. I was recently shopping for a phone case and other phone accessories. What I found is that sellers are re-purposing SKUs from other highly rated products. I found a ~4.5+ star product with thousands of reviews but saw that most of the reviews were for a completely different item that is no longer being sold. So they'll take a highly rated product, put a different item in its place.

I heard that issue recently, merchants exploits this variant issue and Amazon does not provide a way differentiate variant comments.

Would you mind adding an option to change amazon country?

This.

In Europe each country (with an Amazon presence ofc) has its own website, each with its own stock and sellers. Buying from the US website is often a no-go, because of the shipping times and the customs fees, and also buying from other european countries is often bad as you forego free shipping and returns.

But anyway thank you for your product, it's already pretty useful for brand products. :)

Thank you for the feedback! I will gradually add other countries first two are UK and CA. What is your country?

Germany.

And thank you again :)

Site is recently reopened (2 weeks) with new domain https://www.junglesearch.net and I get feedbacks to add other countries and I really like to add them. It requires some API work to get new country's categories and checking which options are working on which department so it required some work. CA, UK are on my top list to add.

Bad news Amazon closed related associate account again.

By the way Amazon canceled the affiliate account again after commenting in this thread so probably it will be closed again. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18277073

I directly clicked through to your junglesearch.net Looks nice! But is it really free, or do you 'live' off user search data?

Thank you for the comment. It is really free , I do not sell user search data I do not even record them, I only use Yandex Metrica to see how users use the site to improve site usability. One main problem is user try to chose "Most reviews" sort option without choosing any Amazon Department (When All Departments is active most of sort options will not work so I do not show them) and I even placed a site tour to make users notice it and it worked for some some users but not all of them but it is an improvement. Actually money comes from Amazon Associates Program that's the only way to monetize the site.

Amazon has some search issues so I made a web tool for this it is a Advanced Amazon Search Tool and wrote an article how to find good products https://medium.com/@ceyhunkazel/amazon-search-hack-eliminate... and here hackernews discussion about it https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12382228

Fuzzy logic reminds me Albert Einstein quote about mathematics. "As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality."

Whoever decided on the trembling text is a monster.

RIP Lotfi Aliasker Zadeh.Form an interview "Obstinacy and tenacity. Not being afraid to get embroiled in controversy. That's very much a Turkish tradition. That's part of my character, too. I can be very stubborn. That's probably been beneficial for the development of Fuzzy Logic."

Same interview:

Interviewer:Would you say that Fuzzy Logic turns Aristotelian or Classical Logic on its head?

Lotfi:(Laughs). Back in Aristotle's day, people tried to be as precise as possible. That's the Aristotelian tradition, the Cartesian tradition. Looking at things as being entirely black or white stems from such a tradition. But take the example of good and bad. What we're beginning to understand now is that sometimes things that we perceive as bad really turn out to be good, or perhaps, not as bad as we originally thought. Things can serve a purpose. People back in Aristotle's time and even later thought that by perceiving things in black and white (in absolute terms) that they gained alot. And they did. But they lost a great deal in the process. Fuzzy Logic represents a swing in the opposite direction but I would like to stress that there is much more to Fuzzy Logic than multi-valuedness of truth.

Classical logic has erred in devoting so little attention to approximate reasoning and focusing to such a high degree on exact reasoning. So when you take a course in logic, you learn all kinds of things which are of very little use in everyday life. We encounter approximate reasoning all the time. For example, "Where can I park my car?" Where should I have lunch? Should I place this call "person-to person" or "station to station"? Should I buy this house? How do I get from this side of town to the other when I'm in a hurry? Classical logic, operation research, decision analysis-many other disciplines have nothing to say about this topic.

thankfully, he gave a fantastic talk recognizing Alfred Korzybski in 1994.

http://www.jeviz.com which I used to make around $500/month from amazon affiliation with very few (around 30) daily users. Amazon has terminated my affiliation. I think it has more potentials and you can migrate to another domain with your associates tag and promote it. Its a readable Django web app.

I am wondering - isn't there a good chance something like this might happen to the other site/domain too? It is just a matter of time before they find out what the new site/domain is up to.

Though what I find surprising is there are various Amazon price trackers which seem to be operating well. Shouldn't they be using the same url format as yours?

I could be wrong to suggest it but why not make it open source? It helps people wanting to self-host and not run into issues later.

Why did amazon terminate your affiliation?

I suspect that main reason is related with payment method. I am non-us associate. I have started with gift card payment it well good then I have changed to cheque payment method. I have waited long but no payment I have received. I have called amazon they said me there is problem and they will send it again. I have waited long when I contact them they said me it is already on the way then few weeks later they terminated my account and these cheques never come to me although they said they are on the way. I have wrote a story about the process without mention of payment issue https://hackernoon.com/dont-put-all-your-eggs-in-one-basket-...

Sounds unfair and probably happened to other small businesses.

I'd love to read a blog post about your experience with amazon affiliates, and I also think it'll help with getting those cheques amazon owes you.

Thanks for the feedback. Sadly Amazon strongly stated they will not pay it back as I wrote it about here https://hackernoon.com/dont-put-all-your-eggs-in-one-basket-...

Top-down approach is the best approach to teach and learn well done!
