Decentraland are building a virtual world on web technology, underpinned by the block chain. Email me if you’re experienced in webgl/three.js/node/webrtc/virtual reality/solidity and are keen to have a crack at building a metaverse.

Lol sucks to be you hahaha.

thanks for the support benn.

Gosh, I cry when I hear such stories... Some pro people can't get any funding at all.

don't forget to bring your iphone for your date though!

Don't fucking circlejerk so much here on news yc. The meta-meta talk is all crap. Get back to posting links to inspirational stories and insightful tech articles. All this meta talk is increasing the noise ratio.

Don't forget, sometimes hackers can be users, too. This site is the one thing that we users have in common. So indulge us if you can as we discuss our common user experience. What you call noise we call QA.

If it's because you're on a Mac, I recommend http://www.finkproject.org/ -- but I hear MacPorts is good too: http://www.macports.org/

Either one gets you a modern GNU Units.

Wellington , New Zealand. Totally rules.

What's great about Wellington for hackers?

Does anyone want to write a search engine? Python and C++. I thought we could analyze the links between pages and come up some kind of ranking algorhythm. We'd have to make the system widely parallel - but I think we could be breaking some new ground here.

Any takers?

Try and get lots of people to use it - then you'll have to scale it. Otherwise it's a bit imaginary. :)

That is a retarded blog post with lots of errors. Good job on getting on ycombinator - but that's a dumb dumb post.

I disagree with Matt too on this one, but it's a bit rough calling someone an idiot without at least telling him why...
