I don't think uv is just giving Poetry a run for it's money. I think uv is winning and that's what most people should reach for for new projects. I'm also converting all my legacy projects to it now without any real issues.

I have stopped using `Poetry` when `uv` was released, incomparably faster, much more conform with the recommended project metadata, i.e., https://packaging.python.org/en/latest/specifications/core-m..., etc...
