You can now browse hacker news users and see their story points, number of submissions and comments on hacker read.

I don't know why I care about pretend internet points, but I just had to find out that I rank #1501 in terms of them here.

Sorting by avg_karma only re-sorts the current list that is on-screen, it is not the actual sort of the entire community.


If you display the top 1000 or even 10000, then it will sort those. For example: https://hn.garglet.com/leaders?page=1&sort_by=avg_karma&page...

  But yes, sorting can / will be improved.

I mean what kind of irony is this, a site trying to track HN user points, posts on HN and gets the HN hug of death. Is that like a level 3 irony?

Not really hug of death. It was a slightly unrelated issue.


but why use this?


The official leaderboard doesn’t distinguish between karma gotten from stories vs. comments. Some people automate story submission and get a lot of karma without insightful comments…
